The Barra Bunting Project started in March 2012 with assistance from CNES Arts Revenue Grant.

Throughout the summer there were bunting workshops and a good amount of flags were sent in from all over the globe.  Twitter and Facebook were great tools to spread the word and get everyone involved who had set foot on the islands.  

Barra Adult Learners hosted our first Big Stitch Up and made a lovely lunch for all volunteers and got stuck into helping string the bunting all together.

The Bunting was launched on 1 September 2012 at the Barra and Vatersay Annual Produce Show and is now avaiable to other local groups to decorate their events.

Barra Bunting is continuing and we are looking forward to recieving more bunting.  The Next Big Stitch up is in March 2013.
